Описание: Designed by Framestore, in partnership with P&P Projects, the Science Museum says farewell to its most ambitious exhibition yet: ‘Science Fiction: Voyage to the Edge of Imagination’.

This was a huge privilege for Framestore and our partner P&P Projects, to be appointed as lead designer by the Science Museum over the entire exhibition. This 3-year project saw us designing the complete guest experience. We created a unique science fiction narrative and designed all of the physical sets, illusions, lighting and sound design to transport guests into this world. We oversaw and directed the many other vendors who created so many in-world media and interactive experiences throughout, it was a hugely collaborative project.

Framestore Creative Directors Gavin Fox and Henry Trotter worked alongside Executive Producer Lauren Anderson to create an immersive adventure through the cosmos aboard a spaceship, featuring an Al Guide and a new extra-terrestrial language created exclusively for the exhibition.

Commenting on the technology involved, Gavin adds, “To create this real-time mysterious encounter, we used multiple LiDAR scanners to track different groups of guests simultaneously, which drives interactive lighting, immersive sound design, and a multi-array projection dome featuring a real-time Unreal Engine visualisation of our extra-terrestrial beings.”

The exhibition closes at the Science Museum on the 20th of August before embarking on a 5-year tour of the globe.
