Hongdae Street (a.k.a. Hongik University Street) -
Hongdae is situated right in front of Hongik University which is well known for its fine art college. Hongdae is an abbreviation of Hongik University (Korean: Hongik Daehakgyo). Under the influence of Hongik University, young artists who are students of Hongik University set up their ateliers around this area. Like this, the neighborhood was built on a foundation of artistic souls since the 1990s. Today, Hongdae has become one of Seoul's representative attractions. It's for its youthful ambiance, with shops selling everything from clothing and cosmetics to living goods and books, as well as unique cafés and restaurants. The streets are also filled with buskers and dance performances, making visiting here quite entertaining.

Sinchon -
Sinchon is known for its numerous universities including Yonsei University, Ewha Womans University, Sogang University, and Hongik University. It makes Sinchon one of the most popular shopping districts and favorite haunts for the college crowd in Seoul. The streets are lined with shops, cafes, restaurants, and entertainment spots.
