Recipe and ingredients for red velvet cake
115 g or half a cup of butter
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder or 1 tablespoon if you would like your cake ingredients to be more red
100 g or one and a half cups of flour
Quarter teaspoon of baking soda or bicarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon of salt
250 g or one and a quarter cups of sugar
Three large eggs
Three-quarter teaspoon of vanilla bean extract
Half a teaspoon of white vinegar
125 mils or half a cup of buttermilk
Red food colouring

Frosting
230 g or 8 ounces of cream cheese
200 g or half a cup of icing sugar sifted

Cooking time
355 Fahrenheit
160 fan assisted
Gas mark four

50 to 60 minutes, please check after 50 minutes you may need longer with a bigger tin
