DAY 21 - Daily Devotion - I WILL LOVE UNSELFISHLY

Romans 13:8-10 (AMP) Owe nothing to anyone except to love and seek the best for one another; for he who [unselfishly] loves his neighbor has fulfilled the [essence of the] law [relating to one’s fellowman]. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not covet,” and any other commandment are summed up in this statement: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor [it never hurts anyone]. Therefore [unselfish] love is the fulfillment of the Law.

DEVOTION
The love we're called to as children of God actively seeks the good, the healing, and the flourishing of others. When we love this way, we reflect Christ's perfect love.
Love restrains harm and softens harsh impulses, lifts burdens instead of adding to them, chooses patience over irritation and grace over judgment.
Each day presents the great opportunity to to fulfill the Law and love unselfishly.

AFFIRMATIONS
I will love friend and enemy
I will not cause harm to anyone
I will seek the best for everyone
I will love unselfishly

PRAY – FOR YOURSELF
Father, thank You for revealing that love is the fulfilling of Your Law. Soften my heart to carry this one debt gladly—to love others the way You love me, without holding back. In the Name of Jesus, who first loved me, Amen.

PRAY – FOR OTHERS
Father, help Your children everywhere to seek the best for and love each other and everyone unselfishly. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
