It goes without saying that we post a lot of videos using our Washington hand press made in 1852. However, much of the prints are quite small compared to what the press can handle.
In this video, Howard letterpress prints a large photo engraving, which was made in 1990 for an event in partnership with Sacramento Heritage Inc., a local nonprofit established to promote presentation of Sacramento’s historic properties.
The Hubbard-Upson House, also known as “The Castle,” in the Alkali Flat neighborhood in Downtown Sacramento was built 1856. While it originally was a family home, the building stands today as the location for quite a few law offices.
