This is a development by Alan Greenfield of WestonUK of the Webra .55 P5 ABC glow engine.
The liner is ported for torque, not speed. A contra piston is contained within the diesel head, similar to the Irvine .20 and .40 diesels.
It is very high quality all round. Fits are superb. This is an early run to establish base settings, without the muffler installed. The engine draws fuel and throttles just fine without tank pressure or back pressure from the muffler.
Hand flick starts are easily achieved at "best running settings". Choke priming only required. No need to change the needle or compression settings. This is not usual for a large displacement model diesel engine.
Propeller: RAM 13 x 8
Fuel Composition:
Di-Ethyl Ether (solvent grade) 35%
Castor Oil (first pressing degummed) 25%
F34 AVTUR 38.5%
2-Ethyl Hexyl Nitrate 1.5%
