Here I've mounted the engine in the Pocket Rocket model, replacing another Cox Tee Dee .020 with a throttle ring. This is to take advantage of the model aircraft and see how this device performs in flight.
Meanwhile, here's the ground test. I really like the aesthetics of this engine, and I like how it runs. I estimate that if I install a pressurizer, I'll be able to achieve even lower RPMs and a higher RPM in high gear, since by pressurizing the fuel tank, I'll be able to fine-tune the venturi needle even further. We'll see.
Recommendation: If you rediscover these magnificent engines, you'll feel the magic of those little wonders that were all the rage in other years!
