Version one of my barley wine, few hiccups along the way but that’s a standard brewday 🤣
What in it?
Grains:
• 3.5kg Maris otter malt
• 350g wheat malt
• 70g chocolate malt
Hops:
• 25g chinook 60mins
• 25g centennial 15mins from the end
• 1/2 crushed proctofloc 15mins from the end
• 18.5g centennial 5mins end from the end
• 15g Columbus at flame out (0mins remaining) then chill.
• 25g chinook - dry hop approx. Day 4 (for 3 days)
Yeast:
• Lallemad NOTTINGHAM high performance yeast
Method:
• 9L strike water 4L sparge
• Mash at 65C for 90mins
• increase temp to 69C
• sparge at 76C
• cool to 20C
• pitch yeast
• expected OG 1.091-92
I got 9L of wort 😁🤟🏻💚
