[ ] ⬜ 2 cans diced tomatoes (14.5 oz each)
[ ] ⬜ 1 small can tomato paste (6 oz)
🌶️ VEGETABLES
[ ] ⬜ 2 yellow onions
[ ] ⬜ 1 yellow bell pepper
[ ] ⬜ 2 jalapeños
[ ] ⬜ Fresh chives
[ ] ⬜ Garlic (or granulated garlic)
🫘 BEANS
[ ] ⬜ 2 cans kidney beans (15 oz each)
[ ] ⬜ 1 can black beans (15 oz)
🧂 SEASONINGS (LESS SWEET, SAVORY)
[ ] ⬜ Chili powder
[ ] ⬜ Chili seasoning packet (1)
[ ] ⬜ Ground cumin

🍲 CHILI COOKING CHECKLIST
🔪 PREP
⬜ Chop onions
⬜ Dice yellow bell pepper (small)
⬜ Dice jalapeños
⬜ Rinse & drain all beans
⬜ Measure spices
🍳 STEP 1: BUILD FLAVOR
⬜ Heat 2 tbsp olive oil (medium-high)
⬜ Add onions + yellow bell pepper
⬜ Cook 5–7 min until soft & lightly caramelized
🥩 STEP 2: MEAT
⬜ Add ground beef
⬜ Brown fully, breaking it up
⬜ Drain excess grease if needed
🍅 STEP 3: TOMATO PASTE
⬜ Add tomato paste
⬜ Cook 3–4 min until darker & rich
🌶️ STEP 4: SPICES
⬜ Add all spices
⬜ Stir & toast 30 seconds
🍅 STEP 5: TOMATOES & BEANS
⬜ Add crushed tomatoes
⬜ Add diced tomatoes
⬜ Add all beans
⬜ Stir well
🧪 STEP 6: LIQUIDS & DEPTH
⬜ Add 2 cups beef broth
⬜ Add Worcestershire sauce
⬜ Bring to gentle boil
⏳ STEP 7: SIMMER
⬜ Reduce heat to low
⬜ Simmer 45–60 minutes
⬜ Stir occasionally
🍎 STEP 8: FINAL BALANCE
⬜ Add ½ tsp apple cider vinegar
⬜ Simmer 10–15 minutes
⬜ Taste & adjust seasoning
🧀 STEP 9: SERVE & TOP
⬜ Ladle chili into bowls
