The Fokker Dr.1 was a triplane fighter aircraft manufactured by the Fokker aircraft factory in Schwerin during World War I. The aircraft was highly maneuverable thanks to its large, three-story wings, but also relatively slow.
The RC Fokker Dr.1 shown here is very closely based on the original. The huge aircraft is a very faithful replica. The flight pattern appears similarly detailed to the original. It was a good flight, but the landing went badly wrong. The aircraft descended too steeply before reaching the airfield and crashed into the airfield fence.
