Two minors go missing after drowning in Kathajodi River near Khananagar, Cuttack

Описание: A tragic incident occurred near Khananagar in Cuttack when two minors went missing after drowning in the Kathajodi River on Friday morning. The victims have been identified as Ayush Barik (12) and Om Prakash Maharana (15), both residents of Bhagatpur Bagala Lane.

According to reports, members of a Sankirtan Mandali had gone to the area for a program when some children arrived early and began playing near the river. While washing up and playing with a ball, Ayush accidentally slipped into deep water, and Om Prakash jumped in to save him. Sadly, both boys drowned.

The Fire Services team promptly launched a search and rescue operation, deploying additional personnel and scuba divers after initial efforts failed. As of the latest update, the boys remain missing, and the operation continues along the Kathajodi riverbank.
