Описание: Every year thousands of people suffer a medical emergency that leaves them unconscious and impairs their breathing. Many of these patients go on to die or suffer irreversible brain damage from a lack of oxygen whilst awaiting emergency treatment. This could be prevented with simple bystander First Aid. Yet few of us have learnt how to do this.

Joydeep demonstrates a manoeuvre called a “Head Tilt, Chin Lift” which is so simple that a child can do it which can help in this situation. I will show that learning to save lives is easy, fun and memorable. As easy in fact as “pulling a face”!

By proving that anyone can learn a life saving skill in just a few minutes I hope to inspire everybody to attend a full First Aid Course, and create a new generation of fully trained lifesavers!

Passionate about teaching first aid and making life saving techniques easy to learn, Dr Joydeep Ghoshdastidar is a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine and Anaesthesia and a trainer in advanced life support techniques. A medical educator for nearly twenty years, he works as a coach, mentor and NLP master practitioner helping health care providers achieve their full potential. This in turn means they can deliver the best possible patient care. By changing mindsets and challenging traditional medical teaching he aims to make learning first aid simple, fun and memorable, proving we all have it within us to become lifesavers.
