Join me on an unforgettable midnight trek up Mount Ijen in East Java, Indonesia—home to the mysterious blue fire that burns in the darkness. We hike under the stars to witness the otherworldly blue flames, watch the incredible effort of the sulfur miners, and reach the crater rim just in time for a breathtaking sunrise above the clouds. After sunrise, we descend the mountain, passing through misty forests until we reach a local village, where friendly locals offer fresh fruits and a glimpse into everyday life at the foot of a volcano!
