On our travels through Malawi we spent more than half of our time all the lake, it would be hard not to as it is almost the total length of the country! Along the shores you will plenty of opportunities for an Ethical Volunteer placement. Three hours on a bus from Lilongwe is Salima and from there a short hop to Senga bay and Cool Runnings. Here you will be hosted by Sam and her team. Sam is perfect example of how to be an asset to the community without making them dependent on you. Her mode of practice is very focused on sustainability an awareness of the impact of your actions.
