Discussion about the factors surrounding my 45 lb improvement in the bench press, while in my 70s. This was a "max" improvement from 275 lbs to 320 (touch-and-go), with setbacks including a sliced finger, a shoulder injury, and, most devastating, the flu. (The latter kept me in bed for six weeks, I lost a little over 100 pounds in strength, 20 pounds in body weight, and it took me six months to get back where I was before the flu).
No drugs, no needles, no creatine, no "supplements", no pills, no TRT, no cheating, no help, no team, no Bionic artificial man. Just patience and persistence.
