In this video we will show you approximately 188 years old, historical but deserted 2 storeys fort named "Baral Fort" which is situated on the top of a mountain. This historical fort was constructed by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1837 during the Dogra Rule for defense purpose. This old fort was constructed on 3 Kanal area in which 18 rooms, pond of water, watch towers and 2 halls had been constructed. The most sorrow thing is that how the alive Muslims chosen in the wall? Now this fort has been deserted and is presenting a view of ruins. This was army fort and towers of this old fort look from far away. The construction of this fort completed in a period of 3 years and 1 Aana was given per day to labors as labor. The stones for the construction of this fort were brought from nearby area Sehar Nala. According to some historians this historical fort was constructed by Ghakars in 17th century. Another tradition is that this fort was constructed by Sudhnoti Sardar but the most of historians agree on the tradition of Maharaja Gulab Singh. There is a unique well here. The purpose to construct this old fort was to press the movement of freedom of Muslims. The local people of Tehsil Pallandri of District Sudhnoti did extreme resistance against the construction of this historical fort. Terror was spread after chose alive Muslim individual in the front pillar of this fort. So that the Muslims leave the think of freedom. In 1947, the area of Sudhnoti was freed in the leadership of Ghazi Kashmir, Colonel Khan Muhammad Khan. This old fort has damaged from earthquakes, rains and weather effects. The Tourism Department of Azad Kashmir has made a park here and installed swings for children. If you want to visit this historical place you can come here easily.
