In this video we will show you approximately 600 years old, historical but deserted haunted fort which is called "Bhrand Fort" that is situated on the top of a hill. This fort was constructed by the Muslim Ruler of Kashmir, Sultan Zain Ul Abideen Alias Budh Shah Badshah in 15th century for the defense purpose. This old fort was constructed on 10 Marla place. Many maze types rooms, watch tower, pond of water (well), basement and especially a prison was constructed inside this historical fort. It seems after see this fort that it has been constructed by giants in the Mount Qaf (Koh-I-Qaf). A big dragon is also visible to people here. Now this historical Bhrand Fort has been deserted and is presenting a view of ruins. When was this fort constructed ? It has different history but this ancient fort was constructed during the 1500 to 1600. A tradition is that this fort was constructed by Mughal Emperor Jalal -U-Din Akbar. This fort had been constructed on a highest mountain mound from 15 to 20 meter. Another tradition is that this fort was constructed by local Sardars in which Nawab Sardar Muhammad Saeed Khan Sadozai and others Sudhan Sardars are notable. This fort was under use of Dogras from 1800 to 1849 and according to some historians this fort was constructed by Dogras. It is believe that the reconstruction of this fort had been done in the era of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Another tradition is that Maharaja Gulab Singh reconstructed this fort with lime and stones. But the construction style of this fort reflects the Military architecture. But the most believe is that this fort was constructed by Sultan Zain-Ul-Abideen. This fort is called Bhrand Fort due to Nawab Bairam Khan. The wife of Nawab Bairam Khan had committed suicide jumped from this fort. The name of wife of Nawab Bairam Khan was Thara and that is the reason this fort is also called Tharay Wala Qila. This is a historical place and the history lovers must visit this place. This fort is situated in Tehsil Sehnsa of District Kotli of Azad Jammu And Kashmir. You can come here easily and visit it.
