Описание: धूतपापेश्वर हे रत्‍नागिरी जिल्ह्यातल्या राजापूर तालुक्यातील धोपेश्वर गावामधील प्रसिद्ध शिवमंदिर आहे. राजापूर शहरापासून सुमारे ५ किलोमीटरवर अंतरावर हे गाव लागते. सोमवारी आणि महाशिवरात्रीला येथे प्रचंड गर्दी होते. पाप धुऊन काढणारा ईश्वर म्हणून धूतपापेश्वर असा याचा अर्थ मनाला जातो. मंदिराच्या सभोवतालचा परिसर अतिशय रम्य असून मंदिरही प्राचीन आहे. प्रशस्त असा सभामंडप, अंतर्गृह, गर्भगृह अशी रचना असलेल्या या मंदिरात येताक्षणी मन प्रसन्न होते. प्रवेशद्वारावर नगारखाना व आवारात दीपमाळा आहेत. मंदिराशेजारी काळ्या कातळावरून खाली झोकून देणारा मृडानी नदीचा प्रवाह आहे. कोसळणाऱ्या पाण्याचा एक नितांत सुंदर धबधबा होतो. धबधब्याची खरी शोभा ऐन पावसाळ्यात दिसते.वरून खाली पाणी जेथे कोसळते तेथे एक डोह बनला आहे. त्याला “कोटितीर्थ" म्हणतात. या मंदिराचा लाकडी सभामंडप आणि त्यावरील नक्षीकाम हे या मंदिराचे वैशिष्ट्य म्हणून सांगता येते. मारुती, कमळ, मासे, मोरपीस असे लाकडातील कोरीवकाम येथे पहायला मिळते. तर ईथे भेट देऊन सर्व माहिती द्यायचा प्रयत्न केला आहे म्हणजे रहायला रूम, विविध स्टॉल्स, साफसफाई, उत्तम व्यवस्था आणि महादेवाचे दर्शन. तर वीडियो संपूर्ण पहा आणि शेयर नक्की करा.

Dhootpapeshwar is a famous Shiva temple in Dhopeshwar village of Rajapur taluka in Ratnagiri district. The village is located about 5 kilometres from Rajapur city. It is very crowded on Mondays and Mahashivratri. This comes to mind as Dhootpapeshwar, the God who washes away sins. The area around the temple is very beautiful and the temple itself is ancient. The structure of this temple, which has a spacious assembly hall, antargriha, and sanctum sanctorum, makes the mind happy as soon as you enter. There are Nagarkhana at the entrance and garlands of lamps in the premises. Near the temple, there is a stream of the Mridani river flowing down from the black rock. The falling water forms an extremely beautiful waterfall. The true beauty of the waterfall is seen during the monsoon season. A trough has formed where the water falls from above to below. It is called "Kotitirtha". The wooden pavilion and the carvings on it are the special features of this temple. Wood carvings like Maruti, lotus, fish, and peacock can be seen here.
