How To Be A Hero In The Kitchen | Nothing Much To Do

Описание: Hello everyone! We've been so busy organising the party that the only thing we had time to film for you was...to do with the party! Ursula said she might bring her camera (it's on Saturday!). I hope she does, her videos are always delightful! Also, people have been asking for a hair braiding tutorial so I will do that for next Wednesday, as well as update you on the party of course!

COOKIE RECIPE:

100g dark chocolate, chopped (in the second batch we experimented a bit with caramel chocolate; it actually worked quite well! Yum!)
150g plain flour
125g unsalted butter (we actually used normal butter, then skipped the salt!)
75g soft brown sugar
100g caster sugar
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
a pinch of salt
2 teaspoons of vanilla essence
1 egg

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees celsius, and place baking paper on the trays you will bake the cookies on (we buttered our trays).

Add the sugars to the soft (or melted) butter, and beat together well with a wooden spoon. Add the vanilla essence, then combine, then add the egg, and combine again.

Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into the bowl, and fold them in gently. Then add the chocolate. Mix till combined.

Place heaped dessert spoons of mixture onto the trays, leaving plenty of room between each cookie as they will expand!

Bake for around 10 minutes, or until lightly golden. They will harden as they cool. After a couple of minutes, transfer them to a wire rack.
