I arrive in Li Gi, Vietnam during TET (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) and quickly realise I may have picked the most difficult time possible to visit. Almost everything is closed. No ATM access, restaurants shut, and even finding a simple beer becomes a challenge.
Luckily, I chose the best hotel location in town — right next to the beautiful waterfall garden in the centre of Li Gi. While there isn’t much happening in this small Vietnamese town, the peaceful atmosphere and scenic surroundings make up for it.
In this vlog, I explore Li Gi during TET, searching for food, cash machines, and anything open. This is the real experience of travelling Vietnam during the biggest holiday of the year — not the polished tourist version.
