Meagan Church is the bestselling author of The Girls We Sent Away, which is a Southern indie bestseller and the 2025 North Carolina Reads statewide book club pick. She also wrote the heart-wrenching book, The Last Carolina Girl, and Her latest release, The Mad Wife, which takes place in the 1950s and blends domestic drama with psychological suspense. This combination just couldn’t be any better.

With a B.A. in English from Indiana University, this author built a wide-ranging career in storytelling as a freelance writer, editor, and journal publisher before signing with a literary agent in 2021 and quickly securing a two-book deal with Sourcebooks. Today, she not only writes her own acclaimed fiction but also helps other writers shape their voices through her teachings at Drexel University’s MFA program, and also through her editing services and private workshops.
