Taking The Bus From Abu Dhabi Back 2 Dubai

Ok, I think we spent like two weeks in Abu Dhabi. It was nice to be in walking distance to the beach and to change scenery.

We took the bus this time around. Since living in the UAE, we’ve taken a taxi, hired a private driver, and rented a car as means of traveling to Abu Dhabi. All are practical ways of entering the capital of UAE.

You will need a Nol (Arabic word for fare) card which costs 25 AED (6 for card + 19 purse value)/$6.81 for the bus.

The fare to Abu Dhabi is 25 AED so you’ll need to load 31 AED for one way (if you don’t already own a Nol card) or 56 AED for round trip.

You can take the bus from Al Ghubaiba Bus (E100) Station or Ibn Battuta Bus Station (E101) to the Central Bus Station in Abu Dhabi located across from the Al Wahda Mall & Al Nahyan Stadium.

The buses come ever half hour and the commute is approximately 1 hr 40 minutes.

The Nol card can be used for the metro, bus, tram, taxi, and some stores within the metro among other things.

Our favorite Pakistani restaurant while in Abu Dhabi is New Al Abbasi. The food is plenty and reasonable. They have a myriad of dishes to choose from. We were never bored eating there and the staff is friendly too. Geolocation below.
