A basic workshop lecture on how to develop good computational models of current flow during non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS). The lecture is intended for anyone who develops or uses current flow model to design and interpret models that predict current flow to the brain during transcranial brain stimulation. This includes considered both anatomical typical heads and heads with injury or atrophy. What is the cost of complexity - meaning its always possible to come up with fancier models but when do they contribute real value? Ultimately, as explained in this lecture, is comes down the WHAT QUESTION IS BEING ASKED. The right models methods then follow.
