This video was created it give students at Staten Island Technical HS another example of Autodesk Revit being used for Architecture, or related career paths such as Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or City Planning. It can also be used in design areas meant to be used in virtual environments such as games or VR experiences.
Designs occur in a native 3D environment, but proper workflow incorporates overhead 2D views as traditional floor or site plans, as well as traditional elevation views. Multiple 3D views are created to give the user full control to create and edit every detail of a structure.
Enscape 3D by Chaos, a plugin, is used to create the live rendered, interactive environment essential to a designer to see their structure and its surroundings come to love at any moment. Vast and varied free resources are on the web for users to add any detail with little need for custom creation, which is also an option inside Revit and using other supporting software. Choose Revit and be a World Builder!
