What a cracking day at York Station! The rain didn't stop play this time, and the railway delivered some absolute gems.
The star of the show today is Europhoenix Class 37 No. 37218. This isn't just any legendary "Tractor"—it is currently a testbed for HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil). Seeing a 1960s icon being used for 21st-century green science is exactly what I love about the railway. We caught it stabled perfectly in the sidings right in front of the York Signaling Centre.
