Описание: You mentioned that you're 11 weeks along and you were having vaginal bleeding and you called your doctor and that was the right thing to do. Any time a pregnant woman sees vaginal bleeding, even if it's just a little spot when you wipe, you should always let your doctor know. They can ask you more specific questions about it, even perform an exam if necessary, and then decide if further investigation or treatments are warranted. Many times we don't know the exact cause of the bleeding but it all comes down to how is the mom and how is the baby. The unfortunate part is that in the first trimester there is not much we can do if a mother starts bleeding. There are many different reasons why she might start bleeding and sometimes it threatens the pregnancy and other times a woman bleedings in the first trimester and goes on to have a happy, healthy, full term pregnancy. I very much hope that this is the case for you. Once you get further along in your pregnancy there are a few things your doctor might look into. Sometimes the placenta starts to separate prematurely or sometimes the placenta has implanted itself over the cervix and this is called a placenta previa. Both of these things can cause complications with a pregnancy but more things can be done the further along you are in pregnancy. You mentioned that your doctor said the bleeding was just coming from your uterus and she's exactly right. Beyond that we may not know and the only thing we can do for now is just watch and see if you continue to bleed. I truly hope the best for you during this pregnancy and if you have any other questions for me please don't hesitate to ask.
