The wreck of a whaling ship in the Gulf of Mexico. Archaeologists speculate the name of the ship, but without definitive proof, this wreck cannot be named. Though the wreck was found, the ship is still lost to time.
Video produced by GFOE video team member Art Howard during the 2022 ROV and Mapping Shakedown expedition.
All footage was gathered aboard NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer with ROV Deep Discoverer and ROV Seirios, which are designed, maintained, and operated by the Global Foundation for Ocean Exploration in partnership with NOAA Ocean Exploration.
