ELASTIC CAST OFF / K2TOGTBL, K1
This Bind Off is used to create a very stretchy edge. this is very helpful in garments like socks, cuffs, hat brims, and necklines. Its also very easy to do. Begin by knitting the first two stitches.
Insert the left hand knitting needle into the front of the two stitches on the right hand knitting needle. Wrap the yarn around the right hand knitting needle and with the left hand knitting needle pull the two stitches up and over the right hand knitting needle. Drop the stitches from the left hand knitting needle. This will complete the K2TOG TBL. Knit the next stitch on the left knitting needle and repeat the steps starting from the beginning of the paragraph.
When binding off on the purl side the process will be the same. There is no lifting the stiches over each other.
