If you couldn’t count
If you couldn’t count, how would you know
how many things in this world
would speak to you throughout your day
Those silly measuring tools we use to decide in lump sum how the day made us who we are
I count the moments...not in numbers, but in batches of things in a basket I’d carry around and random things would appear in them
as if I was walking by a peach tree and thought,
I wanted an avocado but found myself with something else.
How fortunate I found myself
