Labour MP Jonathan Hinder has said PM Keir Starmer made "a catastrophic error of political and moral judgement" in appointing Peter Mandelson as US ambassador.
Speaking on the BBC's Politics Live, Hinder called on the prime minister to address Labour MPs next week to apologise.
In the studio Hinder was joined by Liberal Democrat MP Mike Martin, and Poppy Coburn from the Telegraph to discuss Starmer's judgement with presenter Vicki Young.
