Buttery base, a thick layer of plum jam and a cinnamon-almond streusel topping that gets golden and crisp in the oven. They’re simple to make, look super cute and are perfect for coffee, gifting or your holiday cookie plate.

📌 Recipe 🍪 Jam Streusel Cookies / Pflaumen-Streusel-Plätzchen
📝 Ingredients:
For the cookie base
🔹200 g cold butter
🔹1 egg
🔹100 g sugar
🔹Vanilla paste (a little squeeze)
🔹300 g flour
For the streusel topping
🔹100 g butter
🔹100 g sugar
🔹100 g ground almonds
🔹100 g flour
🔹1 tsp cinnamon
Jam layer
🔹 200 g plum jam (Pflaumenmus)
Baking:
180°C top/bottom heat (Ober-/Unterhitze)
Bake for about 18 minutes
How to make them:
Cut the cold butter into small cubes. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and a little vanilla paste.
Add the butter and egg, then quickly knead or rub together until you get a smooth dough.
Chill briefly if it’s too soft.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Roll the cookie dough directly on the tray to about 5 mm thickness, pressing it evenly into a rectangle. Spread the jam Spread the plum jam (Pflaumenmus) evenly over the rolled-out dough.
In a separate bowl, mix butter, sugar, ground almonds, flour and cinnamon.
Rub together with your fingers until you get crumbly streusel.
Sprinkle the streusel evenly over the jam layer.
Bake at 180°C Ober-/Unterhitze for about 18 minutes, until the edges and streusel are lightly golden.
Let it cool just slightly while still warm, cut into small cookie squares or rectangles with a sharp knife.
Leave to cool completely before moving them off the tray.
