London’s High Court has ruled that the UK government’s decision to ban Palestine Action and designate it as a terrorist organisation is unlawful. However, the ban will remain in force temporarily pending the outcome of the appeal process.
The founders of Palestine Action had challenged the ban under the Terrorism Act 2000. Since the measure came into effect in July 2025, hundreds of people have been arrested for supporting the group.
