One more adventure before I leave Australia - this time, just a short way from Melbourne CBD, Yarra Bend Park is a surprising gem in many ways. In an eventful hike, join me as I brave rain and missteps in my quest to sight the famed Flying Foxes here - Australia's largest bat.
Getting here:
Take a train or bus to Victoria Park station, then walk across Victoria Park to Dights Falls Parking, from which one could enter the park and begin the loop hike
