This is a ride on the Mid Norfolk Railway - a preserved 'heritage' railway in the heart of Norfolk serving many small villages and hamlets, connecting them with the towns of Wymondham - near Norwich, and Dereham.
Starting at Dereham, a British Rail Class 47 (47580 'County of Essex') takes our train of four Mk1 coaches and a Mk2 coach to Wymondham Abbey halt, calling at Yaxham, Thuxton, Kimberley Park, and Wymondham. At Thuxton, we see a BR Class 142 DMU pass us on its way to Dereham from Wymondham Abbey.
Filmed in the late afternoon on the 13th of September, 2025.
