Today’s recipe is a flavorful and healthy peanut snack — spiced with chilli, citrusy lime, tangy tamarind, and finished with a sizzling coconut tempering. It’s quick, wholesome, and perfect for snacking or serving at a get-together. Bonus twist? We’re serving it on lettuce leaves for that extra crunch!

🛒 Ingredients
Raw whole skinned peanuts – 2 cups
Salt – 1 tsp (for boiling)
Red onions – 1, finely chopped
Tomatoes – 1, finely chopped
Green chillies – 1–2, finely chopped
Coriander leaves – a handful, chopped
Grated coconut – 2 tbsp (fresh or frozen)
Tamarind sauce – 1½ tbsp
Lime – ½
Kala namak (black salt) – ½ tsp
Regular salt – to taste
Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – ½ tsp
Chaat masala – ½ tsp
Ground black pepper – to taste
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Olive oil – for tempering
Lettuce leaves – for serving (optional but recommended!)
🧑🍳 Method
Boil raw peanuts in salted water for 6–7 mins. Drain and set aside.
Grate coconut and prep the vegetables.
Mix boiled peanuts with onions, tomatoes, chillies, coriander, coconut, and all the spices.
Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, and add grated coconut + coriander. Pour this sizzling tempering over the peanut mix.
Mix well and finish with a generous squeeze of lime.
Optional but fun: Serve on fresh lettuce leaves for an extra crunchy, refreshing bite!
