Jay Jay Ma Kali Ma

Описание: You are welcome to listen to and chant along with this chant to the Divine Mother, more specifically, Kali and Durga! This is one of my more recent
chants to Maa, (and to Kali and Durga).

The words to this chant are:

Jay Jay Maa Kaali Maa Jay Jay Maa He Maa Durgaa

There is only one set of words, but alternating between two melodies.

Jay Jay Maa Kaali Maa Jay Jay Maa He Maa Durgaa

Meaning:

"Kali" is considered to be the controller of time. She was created by Durga out of herself. Durga is one of the major female deities and is the beloved of Shiva. "Durga" means "one who is difficult to attain (or approach). "He" is similar to the English word "O" and "Maa" is "Mother." "Jay" means, of course, All Victory to."

This video is one of a new series of kirtan videos which will over time encompass all the chants that the Universe has brought through me that I've included in my Bliss of Kirtan music book, with the chant videos matching the music for the chants as given in Western music notation in the book.
