"Jay" means "All victory to". "Maa" is the Divine Mother in whatever form. "Amba" is another word that means "Mother." The whole chant is comprised of just these three words in total. Jai Maa!

(The parenthetical part is done occasionally and not every repetition of the chant. It has 2 melodies but the words don't change.)

This video is one of a new series of kirtan videos which will over time encompass all the chants that the Universe has brought through me that I've included in my Bliss of Kirtan music book, with the chant videos matching the music for the chants as given in Western music notation in the book.
