Prof. Akash Gupta:
Akash Gupta is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Systems and Operations Management at California State University - Northridge. He completed his Ph.D. from the School of Industrial Engineering & Management at Oklahoma State University. He received his bachelor’s degree from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, India, and his Master’s from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU)- Varanasi, India. He worked as a Research Associate in the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA).
His research interest includes data analytics and logistics. His research in healthcare analytics received accolades and a financial award from the American College of Physicians. Also, his research efforts in the area of logistics were acknowledged for the work that received the 2016 Honorable Mention for Best Applications Paper in IISE Transaction on Design and Manufacturing. He is passionate about improving public health by integrating engineering and medicine, and willing to collaborate with people of the same interest.
