This presentation provides a broad overview of Fetal Intelligent Navigation Echocardiography, or FINE. This technology has been successfully integrated into several commercially available ultrasound platforms, and is also known as "5D Heart".
FINE is a novel sonographic method to examine the fetal heart. This method automatically generates and displays nine standard fetal cardiac views simultaneously. It simplifies the fetal cardiac examination, shortens examination time, and reduces operator dependency. FINE has recently been shown to have high sensitivity (98%) and specificity (93%) for the detection of congenital heart disease.
