Tamar Sagiv is a New York City–based cellist and composer whose work bridges classical tradition, contemporary composition, and improvisation. Her debut album with the Grammy-nominated label Sono Luminus was released on August 8, 2025, and received international attention, including coverage by BBC Music Magazine, two-time “Best Album of the Week” recognition from NPR, and features in Gramophone and The Strad.
Sagiv made her solo Carnegie Hall debut in 2023 as a composer-performer with her work Roots, and most recently presented her album release concert at National Sawdust.
