La ruta transcurre principalmente por antiguos caminos rurales empedrados y vías pecuarias que entrecruzan esta fascinante zona entre ondulantes colinas y dehesas centenarias (bosques de robles y castaños gestionados), donde los cerdos negros, que dan fama a la región, campan a sus anchas y las flores...

La zona también es conocida por sus rutas micológicas y productos locales como el embutido ibérico.

"Cultivating within oneself the refined qualities of flowers." A slow and sincere look at the road to Alájar, Linares de la Sierra and Los Madroneros.

Approximately 15 km.
This is a comfortable half-day circular walk between two of the nicest villages in the region, Alajar and Linares de la Sierra, visiting on the way the deserted hamlet of Los Madroneros. The route is mostly on the ancient rural cobbled paths and drove roads that criss-cross this fascinating area between rolling hills and century-old dehesas (managed oak and chestnut forests), where the black pigs for which the region is famous, roam in abundance, and the flowers...

The area is also known for its mushroom foraging routes and local products such as Iberian cured meats.

For Mother, Mirra Alfassa, the founder of Auroville in India, each flower carries and expresses a spiritual significance, a distinct soul vibration which can be felt and perceived by those who are inwardly sensitive.
