Powerful Mahakaala Bhairava Mantra chanting in around 1500 years old Parashurameshwar temple (7th Century as per ASI based on style of temple architecture) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. This video contains 108 times chanting of the mantra
Om Ham Sham nam gam kam sam kham Mahakala Bhairavaaya Namah
ॐ हं षं नं गं कं सं खं महाकाल भैरवाय नम:
Meditation process:
1) Watch the deity without blinking your eyes for sometime. And then close your eyes and continue chanting the mantra.
2) Chant daily. At least 1 mala (108 beads). Being disciplined and doing same number of repetitions helps.
3) After a time while chanting the mantra you can get very deep into the meditative state - initially for brief moments and then for longer periods.
4) If you are starting then don't rush and sit in the garva gruha (inner sanctum sanctorum) because you will not be able to handle the energies. Sit in the outer hall or even outside. Even courtyard of the temple is fine.
5) Don't feel sad if you don't have a specific Mahakala or any form of Bhairava temple in your vicinity. You can invoke his Mahakala form even in the Shiva temple. Earlier syncretic form of religion was the norm and followers of different paths used to do sadhana in the same temple.
