Yet I’ve heard that what you think becomes a reality.

Sitting on a stool wishing she’ll talk to you won’t attract her to you; in fact, sitting their squenching your face like you need to go the bathroom, will likely scare her away.

So what do I do to attract women?

Dude, girls talk to you in day to day life, from work interactions to classes, to where is the Starbucks. What you need to do is stop putting yourself down, to the point it scares them away.

I thought girls like humility.

They might be attracted to a guy with confidence, then flee after throwing ice in his face when he reveals he’s a total scumbag. Being nice and modest is safe, but saying stuff that says you’re not a good guy to be with is a turn off, too.

So humor is a bad idea.

Corny pickup lines are a turn off, and so is a series of jokes about your bodily functions. Making fun of yourself ensures they won’t see anything good about you.

So if I think bad stuff about myself, I’ll say stuff that says I’m not a good partner and drive them away, or act badly and drive them away. Will positive thinking help me?

How about positive action?

Please do not tell me that’s the name of some lecture series podcast I need to buy.

Instead of trying to find women and convince them to interact romantically with you, which is a two-fer, focus on developing relationships with the women you’re already interacting with, and building up interactions that are positive.

I’m assuming wishing won’t make that so.

Invite the girl at the volunteer stuff you do to coffee, you’re paying, or ask the girl at work who likes a band out to their next concert. You have half as much convincing to do if they already know you.

They might say no.

They’re already saying no to you right now.

Why else do you think I have bad luck with women?

You ask the girl who just broke up with her boyfriend to go out with you, so she thinks you’re taking pity on her or taking advantage of her weakness. Be a friend instead and then ask her out.

And if that does not luck out?

Ask the girls you’re friends with to hook you up with their friends. Or ask the gay guys you know to hook you up with the girls who always complain about other guys with them.

What if her horoscope says otherwise?

Then you’ve had the good luck to discover early on that she has no sense, if she’s relying on whether someone who’d flunk physics 101 thinks Ares and Pisces are in alignment to decide whether or not to date you.
