Join Ben Harding, Lappa Valley's Operations Director as he gives us an exclusive look around "City of Derby" - one of the diesel locomotives which runs services on our main railway.
Originally built in the 1970s
, City of Derby has a varied and interesting history, having worked at places including Carnforth Steam Town, Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway before ending up at the Markeaton Park Light Railway.
Sadly the line closed and City of Derby arrived at Lappa Valley in 2016. Following a rebuild in 2019-20 it is now a regular performer.
