Competitors in the Scottish Lilt, Highland dance heats, held during the 2024 Braemar Gathering and Highland Games in Scotland. This was on Saturday 7th September 2024 at the home of the Braemar Gathering in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland.
The Scottish Lilt is believed to have originated in Perthshire after 1746. For competitive purposes the dance is usually danced to a retreat march called Battle of the Somme, by P/M Willie Lawrie.
