Ingredients You’ll Need:
• 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ½ cup melted butter
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup inactive sourdough starter/discard
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
How to Make Sourdough Chocolate Chip Muffins:
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
In a separate large bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs. Add the sourdough starter, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix well.
Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir until just combined—lumps are totally fine.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Line a muffin tin with liners and divide the batter evenly.
Bake for 18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool slightly and enjoy warm!
