The NTIA's new BEAD Restructuring Policy brought some welcome changes for many when it comes to a reduction in regulations and red tape. But the changes to the definition in the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) that impact the technology to be deployed are not as well received by most, such as what is deemed "Reliable Broadband", and what constitutes a "Priority Broadband Project". Ironically, the NTIA's changes effectively do away with the need for the BEAD program, and a case could be made that no funding should be distributed. #BEADprogram #ReliableBroadband #PriorityBroadband
