A Strong Start - Paper Mario with MetaSage Ep. 1

Day 1

I...can't believe it.
It started earlier today when Luigi and I got a letter from Peach. It was an invitation to a party at the castle. Naturally we went. Everything was so beautiful and there were guests from all over the kingdom. Some people from the Shiver Region were even here!
Luigi stayed near the bottom floor to socialize while I went off to find Peach. I found her near the balcony. She was tired from greeting all those guests. We intended to talk some more on the balcony...but then he showed up.
Bowser somehow had his castle built under Peach's castle! And the worst part? He stole the Star Rod from Star Haven! I...I failed her...I didn't stand a chance against him with that much power. The last thing I saw was fire.
I had the strangest dream during that time. A group of stars appeared and lent me their power. Then one of them named Eldstar spoke to me. He was a Star Spirit. He told me that we have to speak more at Shooting Star Summit.
I woke up in a house I didn't recognize. Toad was there. He was relieved I was ok. He told me that I fell out of the sky and landed near Goomba Village. The only people in this village are Toad and a family of goombas. I learned later that the goomba daughter, Goombaria, was the one who found me.
I got to meet the rest of the goomba family. I told them all that I had to get to Shooting Star Summit. I knew it was east of Peach's castle, as we had gone there countless times.
Goompapa said that he had to fix the gate first before I go east. I thought that was fair. The earthquake must've done a number on many homes. I spent some time with Goombario, the goomba son. He's a fan of me. He's actually smart as a whip and can fight well.
When the gate was finally finished...Kammy Koopa appeared! She was surprised that I had recovered, but she didn't care. Although, she did confirm what I already knew but wished hadn't happened. Bowser still has Peach. I don't know what happened to Luigi, but he was near the door when the quake happened. Maybe he got out?
Anyway, I still can't leave since Kammy decided to drop a massive block on the gate. I'll need a hammer to break it and Goompa has one, but he's out fixing the veranda. I'll have to get it from him when he's done.
