About the speaker:
Gábor Lugosi is ICREA Research Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. His research focuses on learning theory, concentration inequalities, and high-dimensional statistics. He is co-founder and editor of the journal Mathematical Statistics and Learning and has made fundamental contributions to statistical learning theory, online learning, and probability theory.
About the workshop:
"Mathematical Foundations of Machine Learning: PDEs, Probability, and Dynamics" brought together over 100 participants to explore the mathematical principles underlying modern AI systems. The workshop focused on dynamical systems, partial differential equations, and probabilistic methods as tools for understanding neural networks, generative models, and learning algorithms.
