Idiopathic constipation is a confusing factor for the family to hear about in such cases one needs to reassure the child and the family that it is still curable. Apart from that there is a certain medication that needs to be given in order to cure constipation and the case needs to be frequently re-assessed from time to time. In case the given medication doesn't work even after 2 weeks then a stimulant laxative needs to be added to the prescribed drugs.
